Hear it from Dana

The idea for the book came in January 2009. At the time I was searching for what my path was and knew God was pushing me to write. I had several articles and one story already published. The amazing thing was that I could even write. My degree is in chemistry so writing wasn’t even on my radar.

The more I followed my calling the more I gained confidence in my writing. Then in January 2009, I felt the idea of the book come to me. I knew it wasn’t something I came up with because I had never thought of anything like it. There wasn’t anything out there that was even about that idea. With much doubt, I slowly dipped a toe into the idea.

I love doing research and learning about anything. The book called for extensive research so I enjoyed that part of the process. It was years until I decided that I had enough to start writing.

My motto was “Never give up on something you can’t go a day without thinking about.” I could not get the book out of my mind. Then in June 2015, I sat down to start writing. It was amazing! I had all this information and couldn’t get it on the page fast enough.

Any chance I had I would try to write. It was exhilarating and exhausting. Never giving up my book will be out in May 2017.

I don’t know where all of this is heading but I’m enjoying the ride. Dream big and then dream bigger. My ultimate goal is to earn a Pulitzer Prize in Literature. It can and will happen!
